Beth Schafer Selected as a Novacolor Ambassador
I’m deeply honored and grateful to share that I have been selected as part of this year’s Novacolor Ambassador program. This recognition means a great deal to me, not only as an artist working with decorative finishes every day, but as someone who believes strongly in the power of materials to shape how people experience the spaces they live and work in.
For more than 40 years, Novacolor Italia has combined passion, research, and technical expertise to develop finishes that support both design innovation and environmental responsibility. What has always stood out to me is how closely the brand connects artistry with purpose. These materials are not simply finishes applied to a surface. They are tools for interpretation, allowing designers and artisans to create environments that feel thoughtful, comfortable, and deeply human.
The Novacolor Ambassador Program
The Novacolor Ambassador program was born from this spirit of collaboration. Each year, a small group of creatives from around the world is selected for their ability to interpret Novacolor materials in innovative ways while helping share the philosophy behind the brand. Architects, designers, and master decorators from different cultures and professional backgrounds come together with a shared goal: exploring creativity through materials that respect both people and the environment.
Novacolor Ambassadors represent a diverse international community united by a common vision. Although we work in different parts of the world, we are connected through a shared commitment to craftsmanship, experimentation, and creating spaces that promote comfort and well-being.
A Global Creative Community
Being included among this international group is both humbling and inspiring. Decorative finishes are a language of texture, movement, and atmosphere, and one of the most rewarding parts of this work is seeing how artists across the world approach the same materials in completely different ways. That diversity of perspective continues to push our industry forward and keeps innovation alive.
The Ambassador experience also creates opportunities to connect beyond individual projects. Through international events, trade gatherings, and an active global creative community, ambassadors share techniques, ideas, and inspiration with one another. It’s a reminder that while many of us work independently in our own studios and job sites, we are part of a much larger conversation about design, craftsmanship, and the future of surface finishes.
I’m incredibly thankful to Novacolor Italia for this recognition and for the opportunity to learn alongside such talented professionals. I look forward to sharing more of this journey, continuing to explore what these materials can do, and bringing new inspiration back to the growing Novacolor community here in the United States.
