Concrete by Novacolor transforms a hotel exterior
The Maxx Royal Belek Hotel in Belek, Turkey brings contemporary architecture to life through its bold geometry, sculptural lines, and intentional use of texture. Designed by Baraka Architecture, the hotel’s exterior needed both visual impact and long-term protection against coastal weather conditions. To achieve that balance, the design team selected Concrete by Novacolor, a textured acrylic-siloxane coating known for its durability and refined, contemporary aesthetic.
Concrete by Novacolor offers a fine grain and the depth of a handcrafted concrete effect, giving large exterior surfaces a sense of solidity without feeling heavy. Beyond appearance, the coating’s weather resistance and protective qualities help shield the façade from algae, mold, and the ongoing challenges of a humid seaside environment. It supports the architecture's clean, modern expression while delivering performance that lasts.
To enhance movement and dimension across the façade, the team incorporated Fase Silossanica glazes. These glazes added tonal variation that shifts with changing light, turning the building envelope into a dynamic surface that responds to the surrounding landscape. Together, the materials create an exterior that feels grounded, expressive, and deeply connected to place.
The result is a hotel exterior where technical materials and creative intent meet seamlessly. Concrete by Novacolor doesn’t just protect the structure! It helps define the hotel’s character, supporting an architectural vision that stands confidently on the Turkish coast.
