pretty in pink with antonio manna
A masterclass in pattern, layering, and color story
Some finishes whisper. Others sing. And then there are those that stop you in your tracks — textured, romantic, and complex in a way that only experience (and instinct) can deliver. This dreamy pink wall treatment by Italian artist Antonio Manna is firmly in that final category.
Created using a trio of lime-based materials with copper oxidation and gilded gold touches, the surface captures the elegance of classical damask but strips it of any stiffness. The pattern emerges, recedes, and reappears in waves — with rose, blush, and terracotta tones balanced by bold flashes of turquoise and metallic shimmer.
It’s a finish that feels both old-world and current, maximalist but restful. Not quite a mural and certainly not wallpaper, it belongs to the world of layered plaster artistry — where depth and dimension come not only from color but from the hand of the artist.
His signature style often features a masterful command of color palettes and Novacolor Italia products, including natural lime systems layered with oxidation and patina techniques, as well as intricate stencil work. The result here? A wall that acts as a focal point, a textural statement, and a color story all in one.
Learn from Antonio in the U.S. this September
If you work with finishes, you know there’s nothing quite like seeing a master at work. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome Antonio Manna — one of Novacolor Italia’s most inspiring decorative artists — to the U.S. this September for an exclusive series of hands-on trainings and live demos.
Antonio is celebrated not just for his artistry but for his generosity in teaching. His most recent projects include the launch of Novacolor’s Maximalism Stencil Collection — a bold, layered approach that plays with scale, metallics, and decorative depth.
This fall, he’s bringing that expertise directly to Knoxville, Miami, and New York.
